ANOTHER SHORE
FROM ELSEWHERE
A man who can't outrun a past mistake; a
mysterious attendee at an illegal street fight; people haunted by whispers,
footsteps, menacing figures; shapeshifters, fairies who steal newborn babies,
places no one dares to go. All this and more can be found in this collection of
short stories. Another Shore contains nine previous published stories and eight
that are original to this collection, including the novelette The Wilds.
FROM ELSEWHERE
From Elsewhere
collects together stories taken from a variety of sources (the anthologies
Fear's Accomplice, Cosmic Horror, and Miseria's Chorale; and literary magazines
such as The Horror Zine) aswell as much previously unpublished work. The tales
range in tone from creepy horror, sci-fi tinged, to folk/fairy tales, and the
just plain weird. Not all tales are dark - there's humour and pathos to be
found in these stories too. The reader can expect these tales to linger in the
mind once they have closed the book.
THE LUCKY PENNY AND OTHER STORIES
Alfie is given a shot at fame and fortune, but finds that
luck comes at a cost. Martha dreams about bringing her dead son back to life.
Jez and Stig watch the sex robots being shepherded into the rich man's hotel,
and talk about stealing one. Christopher finds a key that opens every lock, and
cannot help himself. Will wakes up after a drunken night out and finds himself a
stranger in a strange land. Twenty eight stories, twenty eight scenarios that
will almost certainly come to an unexpected end. Within these pages are haunting
tales of ghosts, accidental deaths that are anything but, cursed objects, magic,
mayhem and apocalyptic events. Once read, they will be difficult to
forget.
